October 2009 Newsletter: Save the Date

10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 24 - Membership orientation class at the fellowship. Intended for anyone who would like to learn more about Unitarian Universalist history, the fellowship, and what it means to be a member of a faith organization. Lunch provided. 7 p.m. Oct. 30 - Join the Denton Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans celebrates Samhain, the final Celtic harvest festival of the year, at the fellowship. This circle will explore the nature and meanings of Death and the Underworld as we journey beyond the veil between the worlds to honor our ancestors, pay tribute to our gods and goddesses, and return with wisdom for our community.We'll be outside unless it's raining, so dress warmly... unless it's one of those Texas Halloweens where it's 90 degrees! Please bring an item of food or drink to share after the ceremony. Donations of a dollar or three to help defray expenses will be appreciated but are not required.
