Back to School!

Welcome UNT and TWU Students!

Dear College Students,

As we head toward a new school year, I wanted to post this open letter to let you know that Denton Unitarian Universalist Fellowship warmly welcomes students from UNT and TWU (and other colleges) to join us for services on Sundays at 10:30am. We are located one mile north of UNT and one mile west of TWU.

You also have opportunities to connect with other Unitarian Universalist students on campus. UNT students may contact either of the UNT student leaders: Vaughan Hennen ( or Christine Collins ( UNT College of Business faculty member and DUUF member, Mark Davis ( is the faculty advisor for that group.

TWU students may contact DUUF member Annie Phillips Newton who is the Assistant Director of Commuter & Distance Education Student Services and who is the contact person for starting a group at TWU( Her phone number is 940-898-2789.

We recognize that college can be an important time for taking in lots of new ideas and experiences AND trying to reconcile that with your beliefs. Denton Unitarian Universalist Fellowship is a liberal religion with no collective creeds or dogma. We support one another on our free and responsible searches for truth and meaning. We exercise reason and the learnings of science in what we believe and how we form our faith. And we commit ourselves to working for justice and peace in our wider community. Whether you are already Unitarian Universalist, or even if you have never heard of us before, if this sounds like the kind of faith community that could nurture you and inspire you on your journey, please join us for our activities, for Sunday services, and/or feel free to contact me for more information (e-mail

May you have a rewarding and rich school year!

In faith,

Rev. Pam
