Have you ever been curious about humanism?
Do you want to go deeper into your humanist faith?
Are you interested in bringing reason and reverence into religion?
If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, join us for a four-week book discussion group as we read through "Reason and Reverence: Religious Humanism for the 21st Century" by William R. Murry. Led by Rev. Pam Wat and Marian Kester this group will explore the history, theological challenges, future and meaning of religious humanism. Together we will encounter Murry's vision of religious humanism--one that evokes compassion, spirituality and a language of reverence-while grounded in reason, community, social responsibility, science and ethics.
Books are available for purchase for $18 each during church office hours (Tues, Wed, Thurs) and from Rev. Pam after services. The series begins on Wednesday, October 16th.
