Our Daily Bread Christmas Box Collection

The holidays will be here soon and everyone appreciates receiving gifts in the spirit of the season. Boxes will be distributed at the annual client Christmas celebration held by Our Daily Bread.

The Social Action Committee will have a large collection box in the coffee and conversation area to collect the following items now through SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 17TH:

Empty shoe boxes (at least 6” x 12”) or Christmas theme photo boxes. Boxes should have a separate bottom and lid. The lid and box will be wrapped separately. No plastic shoe or boot boxes.

ADULT, UNISEX items only.

knit hat
knit gloves
tube socks
plastic poncho
small flashlight
batteries (AA or AAA)
small deodorant
small shampoo
small body wash
small umbrella
pens, pencils
small notepads
hard candy or gum
travel size tissue
throat lozenges

Gift Suggestions (Adult, Unisex Items Only)

Please do not include used or damaged items, knives or sharp items, perishable food, liquids, medications or vitamins, breakable items or glass containers, aerosol cans, money or gift cards.

Our Daily Bread operates out of the Kitchen and Fellowship Hall of Saint Andrew Presbyterian Church. 300 W. Oak St., Suite 100 in downtown Denton, TX.

Our Daily Bread is a community soup kitchen located in Denton, TX. Meals are served from 12:00 noon until 1:15 PM daily except Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

Additional programs include public assistance referrals, job search counseling, winter clothing drives and more.
